Purpose of the Event: The main objective of the event was to interact with the children of the blind school and to understand and realize the potential and strength of children who in spite of odds have the courage to seek new horizons. It was also our endeavor to support them by giving them a steel cupboard and Notice board as per their requirement. This interaction was a change not only for them but for us.

The Rupantar Club of MIT School of Business organized the event to visit the school for the visually impaired (blind school) children in Koregoan Park on 29th September, 2010.
The event was organized in the evening. It commenced with an insightful story by Prof (Col) N Ram Gopal, Deputy Director & Club Head, Rupantar Club, followed by songs sung by fellow students and the children at the blind school. The faculty members present there also shared with us the information on the various activities that are conducted throughout the year for the visually impaired children at the school. After all the performances, sweets and snacks were distributed amongst the kids and the event ended. It was a blissful experience to see all the kids happy and smiling.
The event was very well organized by the members of the club with a lot of enthusiasm. The volunteers enjoyed the experience of meeting the children and seeing how they have learnt to appreciate even the small things in life and stay happy.
