FDC at MITSOB - A step in the right direction

The mushrooming of Management institutions offering graduate level programs are the result of the huge demand supply gap that was created due to the rapid expansion of the economy.  While the need for high quality managers and management graduates still continues, the quality of many of these management institutions is far from satisfactory.  While most of these institutions have quality hardware infrastructure, they are seriously handicapped in faculty resource.

The general PG program in management is not designed to incorporate the pedagogical and research skills necessary. The need for intensive programs that orient young teachers into management profession and to keep them abreast with the development in the field is on the rise.

MITSOB, as a leading B-School in the country, is always in search of ways of enhancing quality standards. We strongly believe that in order to develop “quality”  in students, we have to start with inculcating 'Quality' in the pedagogy and faculty as well and this is a continuous process.  Faculty Development Centre (FDC) at MITSOB is not only involved in enhancing the skills of the faculty, but also aims to provide Management Consultancy and organize Management Development Programs, Executive Development Programs, Workshops, Seminars, etc. considering the emerging requirements of the industry and enhancing the relationship with the corporate world.
