Convocation Ceremony held on 12^th Jan, 2010 for PGP-24^th and PGP-25^th batch

The dream of the passing out students receiving Post Graduation Program degree certificate came true on the day of “Convocation Ceremony” held on Tuesday, 12^th January, 2010 for the parchments from PGP- 24^th and PGP-25^th batches of MITSOB when they have been conferred with the PGP degree certificates at the auspicious hands of Mrs. Gitanjali Kirloskar, Chairperson, Kirloskar Technologies Pvt Ltd. and Mrs.Shulajja Firodia Motwani, Managing Director, Kinetic Motors. Co. Ltd.

Mrs. Gitanjali Kirloskar and Mrs.Shulajja Firodia Motwani had been invited as the Guests of Honour to the program. The program was presided over by Prof. (Dr.)Vishwanath D. Karad, Executive President and Founder, MAEER’s MIT, Pune. The other dignitaries on the dais were Prof.Rahul V. Karad, Executive Director, MITSOB, Prof. Mangesh.T.Karad, Executive Director (Planning and Operations), MAEER’s MIT, Pune, Prof. (Gp. Capt.) D.P.Apte, Director, MITSOB and Prof. (Col.) Ram Gopal, Deputy Director, MITSOB.

Saint Shree Dnyaneshwara Hall was fully decorated with lights and flowers to experience this historic event of the Institute. Hall was full of 500 odd passing out students from 24^th and 25^th Batches with their parents and well wishers, other dignitaries, Departmental heads, Faculty members, and Staff members.

The Convocation program started with the procession outside Saint Shri Dnyaneshwar Hall. After entering into the hall the actual program started with World Peace Prayer.

Prof. (Dr.) Vishwanath D. Karad, Executive President MAEER’s MIT, Pune, in his address congratulated all the passing out students and also blessed all the passing out students with his valuable speech for the future citizen of the country.

Students were delighted when they received degree certificates at the auspicious hands of Mrs. Gitanjali Kirloskar and Mrs.Shulajja Firodia Motwani

Ms. Rashmi Karandikar from 24^th batch and Dr. Ayesha. A. Rauf from 25^th batch had been awarded cash prize of Rs.10, 000 each for securing “1^st rank in order of merit” in their respective batches. Mr. Mudaliyar Santosh Mohan from 24^th batch Mr. Subendu Sarkar from 25^th batch had been awarded as “Best Outgoing Student of MITSOB” with a gold medal and cash prize of Rs.10, 000.  Mr. Mayank Goyal from 24^th batch and Mr. Amit Prabhu from 25^th batch was given a special award of cash prize of Rs.10, 000 for “Exhibiting Managerial Skills and Leadership Qualities” during his course at MITSOB.

The Convocation Ceremony concluded with national anthem. Dinner for all the students, volunteers, dignitaries, faculty members and staff members was arranged at night.
