The student community represents entire cross section of the country. The ethos of value based education system is strictly followed in all our institutions to promote good character building among the young generation. In recognition of the services rendered so far a UNESCO chair in human rights, democracy and peace has been constituted at MAEER's MIT. A World Peace Center has been setup to promote culture of peace in the world.

The institutes under MAEER's offer multi-disciplinary University approved Diploma/Degree/PG level programs as well as autonomous program in specilized areas. Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) is a well-known Engineering College established in 1983 as a Flagship Institution. Subsequently, many more institutions in Management, Medicine, Pharmacy were added. The MIT also runs Masters in Computer Science (MCS) course from University of Illinois, USA and has a comprehensive Academic and Research tie-up with University of Aachen, Germany. Few other German Universities are also willing to tie-up academic programs with MIT.

All Institutions under MAEER in Engineering, Management, Medicine, Pharmacy and Polytechnic are located at Pune, which is the 'Education Hub' of India. Other institutions including one Medical College and hospital are located at Latur approx. 250 kms from Pune. All our institutions are well equipped with infrastructure as well as instructors. The campus at Pune is a truly e-campus with a total of 4000 computers connected with fiber-optic backbone networks and server-client technology. 2 lines of 2 mbps each, leased line through ERNET facilitates high-speed Internet Access throughout the campus. Strong industry-institute linkage is the hallmark of our all education programs and therefore we have an excellent track record of placements of our students in well known Indian and multi-national Companies.
Approximately, 1,20,000 strong Alumni of our institutions mostly in US, Europe, Middle-East and South-East Asian countries remain in touch through our website. A separate library building for various institutions at Pune campus houses five different libraries in their respective disciplines comprise of more than 80,000 books, national and international magazines, journals. A modern audio-video with multi-media facilities along with high-speed Internet access is available for speedy literature survey via Internet/CD's. Enough hostel accommodation is available on all the campuses for both boys and girls. Most of our Institutions are situated in the close proximity of the respective cities and therefore easy access through public transport is available.
